CAS 3006-69-5
2,5-Dihydroperoxy-2,5-dimethylhexane
Dialkyl dihydroperoxide
Short answer
LAAP does not manufacture this material. It is a precursor that normally appears inside a supplier’s own process chain rather than in the finished product catalogue, and the plant’s registered scope covers the finished hydroperoxide, dialkyl, diacyl, peroxyester and peroxydicarbonate families. We list it here so a search for this CAS number gets a straight answer instead of a page that implies we can quote it.
What this material is used for
A water-soluble dihydroperoxide used mainly as a low-temperature redox initiator and as an intermediate in the manufacture of other dialkyl peroxides. Because it carries two hydroperoxide groups on a single C6 backbone, it is also used where a very fast radical release at 20-60 °C is needed.
What LAAP supplies instead
These catalogue grades cover the same crosslinking and initiation duties. Each links to full half-life data, SADT, packaging and safety information.
Other CAS numbers in the same position
These numbers also fall outside the LAAP catalogue. They are listed for reference so that a search for any of them lands on a clear answer.

|---|---|---|
| 1068-27-5 | Unlisted in the LAAP catalogue | Not supplied |
| 1338-23-4 | Methyl ethyl ketone peroxide (MEKP) | Not supplied |
