Descripción General
TBCP (tert-Butyl cumyl peroxide, CAS 3457-61-2) is a high-temperature dialkyl peroxide used for crosslinking applications. Its high decomposition temperature makes it suitable for: • Cable and wire insulation crosslinking (XLPE cables) • Silicone rubber and EPDM crosslinking • Polypropylene (PP) controlled degradation • Thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) crosslinking • Foam crosslinking applications TBCP is often used as an alternative to dicumyl peroxide (DCP) where lower odor (no acetophenone byproduct) is required, particularly important in food-contact and medical-grade applications.
