Isopropylcumyl hydroperoxide (DBHP)

DBHP (Isopropylcumyl hydroperoxide, CAS 26762-93-6) is a high-temperature hydroperoxide initiator used for the emulsion polymerization of styrene-butadiene rubber (SBR) and ABS, and for the polymerization of styrene and acrylic monomers.

The 10-hour half-life temperature of DBHP (CAS 26762-93-6) is 129°C. The 1-hour half-life is 154°C and the 0.1-hour half-life is 183°C, making it one of the hottest-acting initiators in the LAAP range.

DBHP has an SADT of 70°C and a UN number of 3109. It should be stored between -25°C and 30°C in a cool, well-ventilated area away from heat sources and incompatible materials such as acids and reducing agents.
