Cumyl peroxyneodecanoate (CPND)

CPND (Cumyl peroxyneodecanoate, CAS 26748-47-0) is a very low-temperature peroxyester initiator used for the suspension and bulk polymerization of vinyl chloride (PVC) and for the polymerization of acrylates and methacrylates. Its 10-hour half-life temperature of 38°C makes it the coldest-acting initiator in the LAAP range.

The 10-hour half-life temperature of CPND (CAS 26748-47-0) is 38°C. The 1-hour half-life is 56°C and the 0.1-hour half-life is 75°C, giving tight control over molecular weight in PVC resin production.

CPND has an SADT of 10°C and a UN number of 3115, requiring storage between -20°C and -30°C. Refrigeration is essential and the product should be kept away from heat sources and incompatible materials.
